POSITION: Industrial Wastewater Operator
SCHEDULE: Training period shifts are 8- Hour Shifts. After training period 10 or 12-Hour shifts.
SALARY: $35 to $40 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
The successful candidate regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of a Western Massachusetts beverage bottling facility Wastewater Treatment Facility. The ideal candidate will work a scheduled shift and be required to participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal shift hours for alarm call outs and possible shift coverage.

Maintain Wastewater treatment plant in accordance with relevant regulations

Maintain equipment and area cleanliness to ensure compliance with all GMP standards.

Maintain accurate records and logs

Conduct wastewater sampling and analyses

Keep work area clean at all times.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-
High School or trade school diploma is required.

2+ years of experience in a wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of Industrial Wastewater Treatment systems.

Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.

Knowledge of computer applications for water quality sample data and maintenance record keeping.

Ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions, drawings, and specifications for work assigned.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, other personnel, and industry co-workers.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Massachusetts Industrial Wastewater Grade 5 or 6 license is preferred but we may accept other applicable industry licensure with the ability and expectation to achieve preferred Massachusetts Grade 5 or 6 a must.
